NHS Medicine Usage Review
A medicines use review is a free service provided by the NHS. Make an appointment with your pharmacist who will discuss with you your medicines and how you are getting on with them.
The meeting is to:
- Help you to find out more about the medicines you are taking.
- Pick up any problems you are having with your medicines.
- Improve the effectiveness of your medicines.

Your pharmacist can talk to you about whatever medicines that you have been prescribed, but you may be eligible to receive this free NHS service if you have been prescribed medicines to treat the following conditions:
- Chronic Obstructive
- Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

NHS Health Check Service
In the UK, all adults over the age of 40 are encouraged to have a vascular screening appointment, or ‘health MOT’, as it is more commonly known.
Here at Holland Pharmacy we are able to provide the NHS Health Check Service*, where your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, height and weight will be checked to help identify any factors that may put you at risk of developing cardiovascular diseases.
Your pharmacist will discuss your test results with you and offer you lifestyle advice to help you improve your health.
If you’re interested in this service or for more information, please contact us.
*This service includes a finger prick blood test, and we may need to refer you to your GP for further tests if we identify that you are at high risk of developing cardiovascular diseases.
